There is a bunch of enthusiasts navigating the rivers, lakes and reservoirs of Argentina using canoes and kayaks. These sports can be practiced on calm waters, as in lagoons, lakes or dams, or at the river rapids where the kayak is best used. There are innumerable water courses and surfaces where to practice these activities. Several places offer canoes and kayaks for rent. In spite of what has been said, we can affirm that the cordillera region is the most appropriate one. Some of the spots we suggest are:

Salta
At the Dique Cabra Corral Dam, close to the City of Salta and with boat rental, and at several other spots in organized tours.

Entre Ríos
At the Paraná and Uruguay rivers, accessible from Paraná, Colón and Gualeguaychú.

Mendoza, Córdoba, San Juan and San Luis
At dams and rivers in the region.

Neuquén
At the Lago Lácar Lake, in San Martín de los Andes and with boat rental, and at the entire lake basin of the Parque Nacional Lanín National Park.

Río Negro
At the Nahuel Huapi Lake, in Bariloche and with boat rental, and at other lakes and rivers of the area in organized tours.

Chubut
At the entire lake basin of the Parque Nacional Los Alerces National Park, and at the Futaleufú River in Esquel.

Santa Cruz
At lakes and rivers in the region.

Canyon Sliding
This activity can be practiced at the Azul River, close to the locality of El Bolsón in the Province of Río Negro. It consists in descending through deep canyons of great beauty, covered with a neoprene suit and protected with a lifebelt and a helmet. Rapids, cascades and stone toboggans alternate with pools of calm waters surrounded by extremely high granite walls.

Experienced guides provide excursionists with all the necessary means for safety, so they can feel the maximum adrenaline with the minimum risk.
