WATER SPORTS IN ARGENTINA

Nautical Sports in Iguazu Nautical Sports in Mendoza Nautical Sports in Salta Nautical Sports in San Luis

The particular beauty of the Argentinean lakes mounted all over the country, or the extensive ocean facing its Atlantic coastline, create the ideal stages for the practice of aquatic sports; places where great adrenaline shots and pure vertigo sensations are awakened when reaching high speeds over the water.
Nautical activities such as sailing, rafting, kayaking, surfing and windsurfing are practiced on its waters. Each one of these specialties presents unique qualities that captivate people with a feeling for these sports.
Surfing is a very complete sport in which enthusiasts need to train hard. This intriguing, exciting and extenuating sport is just what you need to break with all land activities.
Cold blood and iron nerves are required for the practice of kayaking. People practicing kayaking experience the balance point between their ability to manoeuvre their craft in dangerous rivers, and the relentless aggressiveness of the waters within the rapids, testing the guts of the intrepid.
Windsurfing is the perfect combination between surfing and sailing, having turned as a result into a magnificent aquatic sport. This sport was originally conceived as a means to travel fast on sea, river or lake surfaces, though in the last years it has switched to a different stage, taking this specialty to extremes when wind surfers make use of the Patagonian winds to use the waves as launching ramps and perform all sorts of manoeuvres in the air.
If you wish to explore any of these possibilities, we recommend taking the different excursion alternatives with the aid of specialized guides to orient you, or else taking lessons that will help you unveil their secrets, know their grade of difficulty and all the safety measures needed for each one of them.

Among the main challenges for lovers of adventure tourism are the trips in rubber boats and rowing boats, on a specially-designed five-kilometer circuit along the Lower Iguazu river. The hour and half long trip sets out from the area of the rapids and after a few stormy minutes reaches the waterfall itself. There the visitor takes part in the famous "Falls Baptism", getting soaked under the never-ending torrent of water.

Once the Upper Iguazu river has been reached, the emotions in the adventure are quieter and the trip is taken more calmly. Aboard rowing boats, the flora of the region can be enjoyed amidst the singing of innumerable species of birds. The journey ends at the magnificent Devil's Throat.
