Useful Information

CLIMATE
Iguazu features mild temperatures (averaging 15º Celsius in winter and 30º C in summer), and the Park has a very humid climate (average humidity 80%).

WHAT TO PACK
To better enjoy your stay in Iguazu, you should take along light and comfortable clothes and good b shoes (jungle tracks usually are muddy). You have to be careful about slipping in many places along the way. It is a good idea not to forget your UV protected sunglasses, sunscreen (minimum factor 30) for your face and lips and a visor cap. Take along a sweater or sweatshirt for the cooler nights.

If you wish to do the tour by boat, you have to take along a spare set of clothing since you will get wet despite any waterproof wear you have on. For jungle tracks take along mosquito repellent.

HEALTH
There are no endemic diseases in this area, so no special vaccines are required for entry.
Argentina is free of foot and mouth disease, so beef can be safely eaten.
Argentina has an important network of hospitals, clinics and sanitary posts throughout its territory, most with emergency services. The hospitals in the main cities can deal with high-complexity cases, while treatment is basic in nature in the remote villages.

WATER
All the Argentine cities that figure on your itinerary have drinking water treatment plants. However, to avoid any kind of problem, we recommend you drink bottled water, especially when visiting remote attractions.

TRADITIONAL GASTRONOMY
Argentina's cuisine is highly varied, and its typical dishes are: Beef barbecue, ensaimada, carbonada, locro, regional empanadas (a kind of meat pie or pasty), tamales, sopa paraguaya, etc. Pancitos de cuajada (junket rolls) are typical of Misiones, and we should not forget the most traditional beverage, "mate", that may be sampled wherever you go, and especially on visits to our many estancias (ranches) with tourist services. In this case in point, Misiones is the homeland to "mate", locally grown tea and tropical fruit. It also shares some predilections with neighboring countries, for example mandioca, feijao preto, chipa (mini-cheese rolls) and dulce de mamon (a sweet preserve).

Restaurants during your trip:
In Iguazu Falls: International, vegetarian and local food restaurants.

We reserve the right to make changes to the order of the trip, without prior notice, due to changes in climate conditions, river water levels, flight or bus arrival and departure times or any other reason relevant to the best development of the trip.
