IHG is the biggest hotel group of the world by number of rooms and at present it counts on establishments distributed in almost one hundred countries. Their income reached the last year US$ 18,000 million and, altogether, it employs more than 90,000 people around the world. Eduardo Costantini, president of Nordelta, indicated that the opening of a hotel always appeared in the original plans of the project and it did not discard to add another establishment in the medium term. "With time, we are convinced that in Nordelta there is place for two or three hotels", the industralist explained. Nordelta has invested more than 300 million dollars in commercial infrastructure, to which are added other 350 million individuals have invested in their houses and 120 million in charge of the development groups in the 80,000 m2 of condominiums, centres, medical offices and the four schools that perate in the complex. "The perspective of the real estate market in Argentina continues being interesting because, unlike to what happens in the United States or some European countries, there is no danger of a crisis because the mortgage credit does not have a great incidence", the industrialist explained.

ARGENTINA WINS GOLD IN OLYMPIC SOCCER

“We had a debt with ourselves and our public, reason why it was going to be very little if we did not gain the finals. But we have the medal and we will keep by us always. We play for free free in the national team, we do not charge. `Checho' (Sergio Batiste) trusted us much and asked us to maintain what we do with `Coco' (Alfio Basile)”, said Juan Roman Riquelme in a press conference. The enlisted from Boca also talked about to his apparent traumatic relation with Messi and said that “there was never a duality of criteria” with the forward attacker from Barcelona. “I do not live with rumours, it is necessary to live by the truth. The one that said that we do not get along is a liar and never came forward to clarify what problem we had. It is very easy to play with Messi, like with `Kun' Omen, or (Carlos) Tevez and (Juan Sebastián) Verón in the greater selection. The enlistment from Boca Juniors said that when sharing training with Messi he noticed that the attacker of Barcelona "played better every day". “On the field it was demonstrated that we were really something as a group. For that reason it is tiresome that one is accused of things that one did not do”, he protested.

OVER HALF OF THE ARABLE LAND IN ARGENTINA DEDICATED TO A SINGLE CROP

A very dangerous situation is developing in the Argentinean agricultural practices, often considered to be one of the most advanced in the world, using small aircraft to sow and fertilise one of the most fertile land areas on the planet – the Pampas plains. Apart from supporting huge herds of prime beef cattle and sheep, vast vineyards with some of the world’s best wines, whole areas with different kinds of specialty vegetables and an amazing variety of fruits, from tropical varieties to cold weather apples and pears, they also produce uncountable bushels of wheat, making Argentina one of the main exporters of this cereal on the planet; lately a new phenomena, driven by absurdly high international prices, has arisen, the unfettered sowing of soybeans, which today occupy more than half of the arable land in Argentina and which is replacing many other crops, driven by the world market’s apparently insatiable demand for this crop.

THE TRAIN TO THE CLOUDS” RESUMES ITS TRADITIONAL TRIPS TO THE PUNA HIGHLANDS
It is over three years that there has been no excursion. The re inauguration was realised this Wednesday in an act headed by the Governor of Salta, Juan Manuel Urtubey, and the Secretary of Tourism of the Nation, Enrique Meyer. The re launching act took place at 6.45 in the Salta station, where the authorities realised the traditional cutting of the tape ceremony and at 7.20 the train initiated its route to the viaduct the Polvorilla. "We are very pleased. It is really the great news for the people of Salta and of Argentina", Urtubey expressed, in the departure act of the first trip of the renewal of the services of the Train to the Clouds. The agent chief executive described as " historic", the possibility of reopening one of main tourist products of Argentina" and he said that there are "Many reasons for which they visit us, but without doubt the Train to the Clouds is a product well known in the World and a great help". This Argentine excursion that is sold in the international tourist markets was suspended from July 2005, when the train was stranded in the middle of the Puna Highlands, with 500 passengers, in its majority national and foreign tourists, without counting on an evacuation or contingency plan. This motivated the government to revoke the concession and open a new process to grant the handling of the service that finally ended up in the hands of the Transitory Union of Companies (UTE) denominated Ecotren S.A., made up by the companies Tranex, Lesamis and Escopa, that promised to invest 45 million pesos in four years. In its route the train, one of highest of the world, ascends to 4.200 meters of altitude and crosses 434 kilometres of roundtrip, in the middle of the Salta Puna Highlands, crossing 29 bridges, 21 tunnels, 13 viaducts, 2 rollers and 2 zigzags. During the first month, the train will run with a formation of five cars, of which three are of passengers and the other two are restaurant and infirmary, besides the locomotive. This way, the formation will allow for the transfer of 180 passengers each trip during this first stage, whereas in the next 45 days when the trips are realised with the complete fleet, up to 480 tourists can accede.
