ARGENTINA
WHEN TO GO
Remember that the seasons in the southern hemisphere are opposite to those in the northern one. High season in Argentina is during the months of January and February (summer vacations) and July (winter vacations). There is plenty of local tourism during these periods and prices are usually higher.
Buenos Aires can be enjoyed all year round, though it is very hot during the summer (January and most of February)
Summer (January, February and part of December and March), with its gentle temperatures and long days, is the most favourable season in Patagonia (Andean and Atlantic), and in the Sierras del Centro (Córdoba and San Luis) and the sierras and beaches of Buenos Aires' coastline.
During the winter travelling through the north and northwest is recommendable for the rainfalls are less frequent and the tropical temperatures descend.
Spring and fall are ideal for the Cuyo Region, though summer is appropriate as well.
