Rio Ceballos grew around its main avenue, along the highlands and the shores of the river that flows through the valley. The way by Route E-57 may be a little longer than Route E-53 from the airport, but it gives the chance of sighting some beautiful sceneries.
The San Martin Avenue will drive us to La Quebrada Reservoir, a man-made lake that during the summer season becomes into one of the main tourist attractions of the zone, allowing the practice of non-engine water sports. This Dam is a component of the Water Reserve Parque la Quebrada, along with two other streams that supply their waters to the Lake.
The overall extension of the Park is 4,200 hectares and it was created in the year of 1987.
There are guided visits to trout hatcheries. The subsidiary rivers, the Colanchanga and the Los Condores are both born at the Luján Ranch and go through the Potrero de Loza, creating beautiful cascades and water jumps along their path. One of these, called Los Condores Waterfall rises at one of the sides of the road to the Lake, only allowing to be accessed by foot. Another cascade, called Los Hornillos, downpours a ten metre-high huge amount of water, ending up on a stream. It can be reached by bordering the Reservoir along its leftward shores, thence taking the road to the place.
The La Estancita water jump over the Salsipuedes River, due to its water volumes and its 13 metres of height, is the most important waterfall of the zone. It can be easily accessed by vehicle through the road that runs between Rio Ceballos and La Falda.
These, among many others, are the appealing natural features of this region. But there is more if we now talk about culture. For example, we can mention the monument to the Cristo Ñu-Porá, the Chapel of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores and the Santa Teresita Cavern, all of which can be visited along a most fascinating tour. The strikingly beautiful Virgen de Itatí Cave can be found at few kilometres distance from the Town.
Rio Ceballos is one of the chief tourist centres within the area of the Sierras Chicas. Its traditional hotels and well-fit campsites gather lots of vacationers from all around the Country. Its regional handcraft fairs, its candy shops as the centric La Vienesa or the Ñu-Porá, as well as the panoramic views available from every single spot within the town, or maybe even by giving luck a chance at the casino or at the bingo premises, have a charming effect upon every single one of its visitors.
Salsipuedes
Taking the Route E-53 from Rio Ceballos due north, we will arrive to the locality of Salsipuedes, which lies within the Sierras Chicas. It is a unique place in which to spend time along with the family, due to a peaceful and quiet environment you will find while walking, riding on mountain bikes or at horseback or even as going on a vehicle.
To the South and to the West we can find the Itatí Cavern and La Estancia Waterfall, besides other great excursions to the Mirador de Villa Silvina Viewing Point, the San Cayetano Cave and the Virgen del Rosario near to the Villa las Selvas Beach Resort; the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Church from the year of 1870, Villa Piedra with its aromatic herbs orchards or the residential neighbourhood of Las Tejas.
At the core of Salsipuedes we will find the El Parque Beach Resort, with its barbecue grills, dinning tables, tennis courts,
fronton-ball courts, children's playgrounds,
quinchos and well equipped sanitary services.
At only two kilometres outside the Villa, besides the road to El Cuadrado, lays the Bello Horizonte campsite, fancied by lots of youngsters.

casonas (mansions) and their artistic masonry on quarry sandstones.
