CORDOBA
CANDONGA
The country house of Rosario de Santa Gertrudis allows the tourist travelling across a part of the colonial spirit of Córdoba through episodes of conquer and evangelisation. The Chapel of Candonga stands as a token of times, formerly built around 1730 as a room for prayer within the house facilities, it was declared National Historical Monument in the year of 1941.
The Estancia de Candonga also shelters other buildings and objects linked to the history of Córdoba. It is situated by the old route to the Alto Perú, a remainder of the mercantile development achieved by the region circa the late 17th century and the early 18th century.
In the present days an experimental integral and organic farm is developed here, with a settlement for preservation and respect to the laws of nature as well as to the environment itself.
