WAYS OF ACCESS
Villa del Dique is located at a distance of 110 kilometres from the City of Cordoba. It can be reached from several routes:
From the North:

By Provincial Route 5 if you come from Cordoba (the road through El Alto)
From the Southwest:
-Starting from Buenos Aires by National Route 8 and across Santa Fe and Rio IV, The Province of Cordoba is entered by the Town of Arias towards Rio IV. At this city, National Route 36 has to be taken northward until reaching the crossroads with Provincial Route 5. A left turn at this point leads to Calamuchita. Taking the road that takes to the locality of Embalse, the next Town standing along this road will be Villa del Dique.
- By National Route 9 from Santa Fe, entering Cordoba by Marcos Juarez until reaching Villa Maria. From this point on by Provincial Route 2 until arriving to Rio III where Provincial Route 5 must be taken, going across the localities of Almafuerte and Embalse and continuing by all of Calamuchita and Paravachasca to the Capital City of Cordoba.
- By National Route 7, starting from the Province of Buenos Aires and the South of Santa Fé, the road enters the Province of Cordoba through Laboulaye and continues by Vicuña Mackena. At this point the traveller must take National Route 35 towards Río IV, where National Route 36 must be taken until reaching the intersection with Provincial Route 5, turning here to the left and continuing on until arriving to Embalse, Villa del Dique and the localities of Calamuchita and Paravachasca. To the right, Provincial Route 5 leads to Almafuerte and Río III.
- Provincial Route 6 from Casilda at Santa Fé accesses the Province of Cordoba through Inriville, Justiniano Posse, Hernando and Río III. From the latter the route to Almafuerte has to be taken until reaching Provincial Route 5 entering the locality of Embalse, continuing forthwith to Villa del Dique and the rest of towns within Calamuchita and Paravachasca. If we keep travelling in this direction, we will ultimately arrive to the City of Cordoba.
From the East (from the Coast and northern regions of Santa Fé):
- Driving by National Route 19, the traveller will reach the City of San Francisco and further on the Capital City of Cordoba. Shortly before arriving to this City the tourist must make a turn to the Circunvalación Avenue, which will lead us lately to Provincial Route 5. This road goes through Paravachasca by Alta Gracia. Continuing along this road we will enter Calamuchita and go through the localities of Villa General. Belgrano, Santa Rosa, Villa del Dique and finally Embalse.
From the North:
- Taking National Route 9 from Santiago del Estero we will enter the Province by Villa de Maria, after which we will drive past Jesus Maria to the Capital City of Cordoba. After driving across this City, the traveller must then take the Fuerza Aerea Avenue until reaching the Circunvalacion Avenue, which bends left nearby the former Military Airplane Factory. This avenue connects with Provincial Route 5. At this point we have to turn to the right and keep driving until reaching the localities of Paravachasca and Calamuchita.
-By National Route 60 and starting from Catamarca, the road enters the Province of Cordoba through the localities of Quilino and Dean Funes before reaching the Capital City. Thence the route follows the same directions as described above.
From the West:
-Starting from Rioja by National Route 38, the route goes through Serrezuela and across the entire Punilla corridor up to Villa Carlos Paz. Entering at this locality the Justiniano Allende Posse Avenue (National Route 20), which connects Villa Carlos Paz with the Capital City of Cordoba. At the second bridge of this highway you must turn right and take Route C-45, which leads to Alta Gracia. At this Town you will have to take Provincial Route 5, thus entering the region of Paravachasca and Calamuchita.
-Through National Route 158, from the Cities of Mendoza and Sal Luis, you will enter the Province of Cordoba by Rio IV. From there on, you have to get into National Route 36 heading straight north until the road meets Provincial Route 5. Turning left you will reach Calamuchita across Embalse and later on Pavarachasca and the City of Cordoba.
A right turn will take you to Almafuerte and Rio III.
From the South (by La Pampa and Patagonia):
-Entering Cordoba by National Route 35, crossing Huinca Renancó, Vicuña Mackena and finally Rio IV, from where National Route 36 has to be taken until the crossroads with Provincial Route 5, and then following the instructions given above.
-There is an alternate road that goes through Cuyo from Villa Mercedes (at San Luis), passing by Merlo, Santa Rosa de Conlara and Villa Dolores. After crossing the road of the Altas Cumbres you will arrive to Villa Carlos Paz. At this point you will have to take National Route 20 until reaching the intersection with the road to Falda del Carmen.
-Another route from the South, though still unpaved, goes through Achiras, Las Albahacas, Alpa Corral, Río de los Sauces and La Cruz.
