Programs of
Hostería Pampa Linda
Active Program: 3 days / 2 nights.

Includes:
  • Transfer Bariloche / Pampa Linda / Bariloche.
  • 2 Lodging nights with all meals.
  • 1 Horse ride ½ day.

    Horse Ride Description:
After lunch we set off northbound on horseback along the way that leads to the Meiling Refuge and wade across the Castaño Overa River to then follow the trail to the Paso de Las Nubes. Always bordering rivers and wetlands, the route passes by a high forest of coihues (Nothofagus Dombeyi) with a thicket of colihue reeds and berberis. The plants are centenarian with trunks reaching large diameters (up to 3 meters) and heights (up to 25 meters) Along the way we will be able to appreciate a wood of larches, very uncommon in this zone, and the Alerce (Larch) Glacier, towards which we approach. Finally we will reach a cascade of pretty white waters, which descends with force from the heights of the glacier.

    Active Program:
    5 days / 4 nights.

    Includes:
  • Transfer Bariloche / Pampa Linda / Bariloche
  • 4 Lodging nights with all meals.
  • A ½ day Horse Ride or a Trekking Excursion.
  • Two ½ day Trekking Excursions or a full day Horse Ride.

    Trekking Description / ½ day:
Trekking to the Ventisquero Negro • Garganta del Diablo Cascade • Base of the Cerro Tronador
The Ventisquero Negro is located 7 km away following the road. This receding glacier is nourished by the constant avalanches of ice falling from the heights of Cerro Tronador. All the sediment its collects in its way hinders its composition from being crystalline, and that is why it is called Ventisquero Negro (Black Glacier). Then the road continues for a further 1 km up to the foot of the mountain, where there are services and public toilets in the summer time, and you will be able to take a short walk up to the Garganta del Diablo (Throat of the Devil) Cascade.

    Trekking Description ½ day:
Trekking to the source of the Manso River.
This trail begins 50 meters away from the “white bridge”, on the curve and behind a large boulder, by the road leading to the foot of the mountain. It has no signs but the path is well marked. This is a very special trail since it offers a quite particular view of the Valley of Pampa Linda.

Horse Ride Description / Full day:
Horse Ride to the Ilón Lagoon.
The guide will be waiting for us at 9:00 in the morning, with the horses already saddled and ready to mount and set off! You need no previous experience in view that the horses are very mild and the guide coming with us will take care of the entire group, telling us what to do during the journey.
The path runs alongside the Manso River, which has to be waded time and again. The climbing begins in the middle of a dense wood of coihues and runs across a field of tall lenga beeches and wetlands. After a 2-hour tour approximately we will reach the Laguna Ilón, where we will be able to enjoy a deserved rest and a spectacular scenery. Its waters, ringed by fine yellow sand, reflect the entire surroundings and the imposing presence of Cerro Tronador on the horizon.
After lunch you will be asked if you wish to continue on horseback for a further hour up to “La Mirada del Doctor". This vantage point is incredible due to the verticality of its lateral granite walls, eroded by the force of the glaciers that used to cover all these valleys in ancient times. From here we can see Lake Frey and beyond that, towards the north, the grayish waters of the Brazo Tristeza of Lake Nahuel Huapi.
