YALA
At the foot of the Chañi mountain massif, circled by wooded hills, exuberant vegetation, crystalline watercourses and many pools, you will find a place of great panoramic beauty which attracts hundreds of visitors that come here to camp and enjoy the water mirrors of the Lagunas de Yala Lakes.
It comprises six major lakes an several smaller ones, each one separated by barely 100 metre distances from each other, surrounded by extensive rows of trees, including diverse species as walnuts, laurel as well as tree ferns and bushes.
To get there is easy since it is located only 28 kilometres from San Salvador de Jujuy. It has been declared as the Parque Provincial Potrero de Yala Provincial Park.
The largest lake is about 500 metres long and 300 metres wide. In its waters you will find cultured trout and freshwater atherines. The public Colectivo 9 transport that leaves every 30 minutes will take you to the Puente Negro Bridge. Crossing the Río Reyes River, you will find the Termas de Reyes Hot Springs. There are public baths and in the hotel there is a hot water swimming pool, which you can visit. Go by Colectivo 14, which offers 4 daily services.
