Argentina has an important network of hospitals, clinics and sanitary posts throughout its territory, most with emergency services. The hospitals in the main cities can deal with high-complexity cases, while treatment is basic in nature in the remote villages.
WATER
All the Argentine cities that figure on your itinerary have drinking water treatment plants. However, to avoid any kind of problem, we recommend you drink bottled water, especially when visiting remote attractions.
TRADITIONAL GASTRONOMY
This includes the traditional asado (barbecue) and Pampas-type beef dishes, as well as pizza and pasta brought by the Italian immigrants and Spanish specialties such as rice dishes and pulpo a la gallega. A typical dish in this province is "llunchao", prepared with toasted cornflour, with the addition of red peppers, onion, white pepper and salt. Another is "Quisadilla", prepared as a biscuit sandwich. Other alfajores (soft biscuits with sweet filling) are filled with dulce de leche (caramel cream) and dipped in vanilla or chocolate.
